Good value for money & provides great shade!

We run a party supply company and rent canopies. We bought a few of these canopies at Kmart. They have worked out well for us. In fact, we love these canopies. They are much lighter and easier to set up than our similar canopies by a different manufacturer. We even bought the screen side kit and took one camping for a week in the mountains. It held up fine. I would recommend that you use it for shade. Leaving it up in heavy wind or rain is abuse. Any non-commerical grade canopy is going to break. We camp in the desert and mountains as well as set up parties at parks, business and homes. if you want a canopy for weather, you need to make an investment in a canopy that is designed for what you want to use it for.

Very poor quality canopy!

I bought this canopy last summer at a clearance sale at my local hardware store. I recently took it out of the box to use for the first time on a camping trip. While setting it up for the first time, the frame bent! It is a very poor quality product. I emailed BRAVO, and they refused to offer any help only stating that I could buy replacement products. I do not recommend this product! Do not give this company your money!

Worked well for its intended use

|

Bought two for our fall festival to cover a display. They were definitely a more flimsy than my $250 canopy, but went up fine with two people, (price was around $60 on sale). They worked well for 4 days and nights and even were subject to a brief light rain which had no effect, winds reached 12-13 MPH on the windiest day. Bought a few sets of $4, 9" aluminum stakes for the base legs which made a difference anchoring the unit. All in all they worked for a shade canopy. You need to keep in mind, that my $250 canopy will not hold up favorably in a wind/rain storm either so at that price, the Shade Tech worked well. You need to secure it or take it down if there is a storm approaching. If you cannot, lowering the legs to their lowest point, (of two settings) will make the legs stronger and anchoring the legs into the ground when you set it up, makes a big difference. If you are in a storm and water starts pooling in the top, you need to push up on the inside of the top and get it out, that is just common sense, (WATER WEIGHS ALOT......). For the price, they work great.

Very Cheaply Made

|

I purchased this item in june of this yr only had it out of the box twice, first I noticed there was holes in the canopy all ready!!! And then we had heavy rain and it buckled all 4 of the legs!!! I have reported this to the company and of course they have not gotten back with me. Luckily there was no one setting under it when it collapsed. There was another couple there with a canopy made by a different company and theres did not buckle like mine did. So that tells you how cheap these are made. Don't waste your money on this because that is what it is a waste of money.
