At first I loved this couch--so comfy. I ordered 2. The second one has something wrong with it--We get stuck inside of the couch. I mean IN the couch. The basset hounds back legs and half her body. We are not **** furniture, this is clearly a defeat. On another note--the seams on the cushions also are coming away from their binding. We have had both since February 2016-- a waste of 1600+
I wanted to update my review but it didn't let me so I had to get creative...I wanted everyone to know that Simmons, Sears and the delivery company went above and beyond to correct the issue of #1 color description and #2 my disappointment in receiving a navy blue sofa instead of slate gray. They have changed the color listing AND they offered to trade me any sofa in the price range to make sure I got exactly what I wanted and was totally happy! I got calls from everyone and long story short they did MORE than the right thing! KUDOS to Sears!! I have shopped Sears all my adult life (as did my parents when I was little) for everything from home appliances to furniture to clothing to tires to shoes and workclothes and will really miss them when they're gone. Oh, I decided to keep the navy blue sofas and found some pillow covers to use to help tone it down. Also, during different times of the day it looks gray and they are almost too comfortable!!
The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the description is not accurate. SLATE is in the gray family - this sofa collection is dark navy blue! I could not find any store locally that had this in stock so I could see it and try it before ordering online, so I took a chance on the color (I knew it would be comfortable since it's SIMMONS) and of course it is not slate gray at all. So please keep that in mind if you want gray - this is NOT gray. Hopefully I can change the pillows to tone the blue down and bring out anything but blue!! But, it is sooooooooooo comfy and I have multiple back issues. I would rec with caveats!
Loved the couch, assumed it would fit through either of my two doors. I have moved couches out my sliding glass door with ease in the past. Delivery guys attempted to do the same, but gave up rather quickly without trying very hard. They then took couch to front door and tried even less hard. Delivery guys not very friendly, would not recommend them to anyone and hope I never have to use their service ever again. Its a no wonder Sears is struggling to survive. I get that delivery guys shouldn't have to do much in order to get the job done, however in my case, I feel that they just gave up without even trying. They were literally here 5 minutes tops then gone with my new couch and chair. Order has already been cancelled and I am left with out the couch I really wanted. It was hot out, just before a long holiday weekend on a Friday, and I feel delivery guys did not want to invest the time to complete the job. I made all the necessary arrangements for a smooth and hassle free delivery for them, but we will never know. Done with Sears furniture. I rated it fair, only cause I will never know anything about how well the couch would have performed. I suggest hiring your own movers from other reviews I read about delivery. Liberty Movers will never get my business, will check before hand in the future. And Sears just lost a lot of my money, I wonder how many others they lost too from poor customer service delivery companies.
I ordered the sofa, and love seat. I have the love seat but not the sofa. It was left on my back porch. I was not given a call to let me know that they were coming to deliver the furniture. Only received a call when they arrived. When someone arrived to meet them they were gone and the love seat was left on the porch. i have had numerous things delivered from sear and never had a problem til now. 3 time someone from customer service has assured me that they would solve the problem and get back with me. It's been a month and still have yet to here from anyone.
