Was looking for a light weight, easy to use snow blower for my mother who has a VERY bad back. I looked at about 30+ items reading each and every review. I came across this one and saw that it had a rechargeable battery pack and that peaked my interest. Did a lot of reading up on this one and decided to go for it. Gave it to her for Christmas, just in time for the Chicago snow attack and she LOVES it! She says it's right up their with her tablet and smartphone as things she cannot live without, lol. Easy Assembly ~ Cordless ~Lightweight ~ Easy to Use ... This product is a MUST have!!
One pass and this snow blower quit working. The starter button would not work in the cold; once it warmed up it would start again. No helpful to have a snowblower that does work in the cold. Also do Not buy for Buy.com or Sears.com - they do not honor their return policies.
Truly on a large driveway in MN this unit struggles to keep up with the snow. Unit tends to stop with heavy snow. But when our first unit started stalling for 30 minutes at a time, Joe's worked with us to get a new unit. I really like the unit it just isn't powerful enough for our winter.
We had a very wet heavy snow 4/27/19. 4-6 inches. I really didn't think snow joe would be able to handle it . The shoot only plugged up once ! I couldn't take the full width of blower but it did the job and I was done in 40min. I am pleased and happy to have it .
The product is great and amazing.. Was very useful
Got my SnowJoe Snowblower for Christmas and I'm loving it!!! Im 68 and was having trouble lifting snow over time. So simple and easy to use and so much fun that I ended up doing my driveway and walk along with sidewalk and driveway for several of my neighbors. I just didn't want to stop and it just took about 15 or 20 minutes to do all our driveways. Mine is battery operated so no cords to contend with.
This is a very impressive product for what it is....an environmentally sensitive, well-designed, cost-effective, and convenient tool for light to moderate snow removal. I have about 200 feet of 5ft wide walkway to clear, which this model will do on a single charge (4amp/hr battery) if the snow is 8" of Colorado powder or less. I recently managed to clear my walks of 8" of wet snow, but it took several passes, two charges, and some muscling to do so. The technique for using this blower does require some effort, as it is not self propelled, but it is way easier than shoveling! Also, the blower is very light, and can easily be lifted up stairs to get at elevated walkways or the like.
