Replacement hip prevents me from lifting heavy objects (such as mower decks, the tongues of trailers, traction weights for snow plowing, etc). I strategically installed a couple of "eye screws" into the ceiling trusses of my garage, and this hoist lifts the weighty objects to the level I need to manipulate them. The hoist is in the twenty pound range, so it is not too difficult to hook it on the screw eyes. (Make sure your "eye" is at least 1.25 inches in the opening.) The pull chain has yet to kink, and the whole hoist swlvels easily around the hook.
