BEST TAPE I EVER HAD, 15 YEARS OF USE , IM A WELDER
I bought this because bigger tape measures usually have wider and stronger tape in them this one does not. Matter of fact is the same one in the 25' tape but this one was thinner and flimsy. It flops at about 8' the same as a ten foot tape would do. The 25' was a better deal. I need the longer tape but would rather just use the 25'

Nice Tape
|I really like this tape. I do roofing and it works great for me. I can usually take one measurement of a roof area instead of two or more measurements like I had to when I had the 25? tape I recently gave away. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Stanley PowerLock tape measure
|I had 4 PowerLock tapes that I used for years until everything we owned was destroyed by fire. I ordered two tapes. First one came intact. Second one arrived with a large dent on top and a cracked case. Clearly it was smashed by a heavy object because the packaging was also damaged. It was shipped that way because the the outer box it came in had no damage at all. Another example of how bad things have gotten at Sears. While the tape seems pretty good, it ?isn't as rugged as the ones I used for over 30 years. I guess it's a sign of the times using cheaper (global) materials While I still think it is a good tape I can only give it 4 stars due to the fact it is not as heavy duty as my old ones. However, it is nice to see it is still made in the US (with global materials) instead of China.
