Description
The Sun Joe 20-Inch Manual Reel Mower with Grass Catcher is not only durable and easy to use, but it is the eco-friendly choice as well. The large six-and-a-half-gallon grass catcher is perfect for storing grass cuttings for compost, or just to get them out of the way. The foam grip handle and adjustable height make it easy for anyone to cut the grass. Five rust-resistant sharp steel blades slice their way through grass, making cutting your lawn a breeze. Color: Black.

Great mower for the price

This is a great mower for small lawns. No trouble putting it together and it is working very well. I would recommend this mower to anyone looking for a low-maintenance alternative to completing their yard work. An added bonus is the work-out I get as I take care of my lawn.

Expected More

I purchased the mower, believing this was a step up from the lowest cost models. The handle is two piece and very flimsy. It takes a bit of adjusting to make sure the blades (which are very dull) to cut. Anything over about 6 inches tall lays down with the front guard, and becomes difficult to cut. Fortunately I have a very small area to mow so it works, but 4 or 5 times longer than a conventional mower.

Sun Joe MJ502M 20"Manual Reel Mower

|

I took it out of the box and assembled the handles in less than 10 minutes. No tools were needed. I adjusted the height to the 5th setting and started mowing. I actually found it took less effort to push than my old gas powered Craftsman mower. It has a nice 20" path, so it's quick. The only minor complaint I have is that it occasionally misses thin stalks.

just what I needed

My back yard has lotsa grass and not a bumpy terrain unlike the slde yards or front yard (3/4 acre around the house located in the middle ). So it is perfect since it's so level. Have to have a self propel engine driven mower for the sides and front. Thanks y'all!

Great product

Very easy to use, clean & store.
The only problem is the catcher not the best the way that you have to hook it up.

Really liking the performance

I been using this mower on a quarter acre lawn that has a small hill. Once I got used to how the mower functions, cutting the lawn took the same amount of time as with a power mower. I clean and lubricate the blades and sharpening edge after each use (sometimes every other use if I'm feeling particularly lazy)and the mower has functioned well all season. I've used it for one season of cutting so far and expect to get many more seasons out of this machine.
