This is worth every penny! The bed is so comfortable and helps my husbands back so much!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
It took a few weeks to adjust to this bed but now I love it. A good night sleep!
This is the second tempurpedic set i have purchased (don't ask). The first was a rhapsody king size, i bought for my back. It didn't work but had to keep due to the price, you have to have a mattress protector because i would sweat all the time. WAY to HOT. Very hard to move in, turn over, wife and i would sink in middle and be stuck. I finally gave it to my son (he has same complaints). Slept on traditional for a year. Decided i would give them another try, has to be a great bed for what they charge So i bought a close out model to dampen the cost The soft model. I literally wake up all night because i cant turn over!! It takes quite a effort to move, I sleep on the couch now because we are literally body to body due to it sinking in the middle, the edges seem harder I understand it was a close out but they refuse to trade for something else, was told to buy a mattress pad!! I DO NOT recommend anybody buying this product, you can find a much better bed and a lot cheaper else where.
I'll tell you about it when I wake up.... It's nice being woke up by my alarm rather then waiting for it to go off. I had a memory foam mattress but no comparison. I also got the adjustable base great for reading in bed.
It is hard to spend more than you spend on a car on a mattress, but as we are in our 50's, we decided to invest in our weakest health area, sleep. We went with a split king adjustable frame, and after trying every bed in the store, the soft Luxe, the right choice for us. We are still adjusting to it and are in the break in phase, but so far we are very happy with the purchase. My husband's arm stopped falling asleep and waking him up. If he is snoring, I tap him and he elevates his head which seems to work most of the time. I used to wake up more sore than I went to sleep, and my hips and back seem much better and I expect will continue as we use it after the first 30 days. We love the zero gravity for reading and watching TV, though I am a side sleeper and haven't switched yet. One of the reasons we went with an adjustable base is for those eventual colds, and I think this will be great for coughs and stuffy heads. I have neck injuries from way back and kept my original pillow. The next step is to see if there is a better match with this mattress style. There was a 2 for one pillow/sheet deal that I wish was given in the store vs delivery so we could have bought those items at the time. While we knew the split king was most practical for our different sleep needs, there is a gap in the middle which makes snuggling harder, so when making a selection you have to weigh which matters more. (My husband pointed out that I had started sleeping more in the guest room between his snoring and being in pain on the wrong mattress, so I am a lot closer back in the same room!) So far we would recommend this as an investment in better sleep and flexibility for health needs that may arise! And the installers were the most knowledgeable and pleasant young men! (Now don't I sound old!) I would do 4.5 stars if I could, not 5 due to cost, which while reflecting quality is still a lot and because there isn't really a way to deal with the bit of a valley in between. Still the best fit for what we needed and we would choose the same combo.)
The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and keeps me cool at night. I fall to sleep in no time and I suffer from insomnia.
