This was my first time using a pressure cooker, and, to be honest, I was nervous. Heard the stories of issues with too much pressure & steam so I was definitely treading lightly when I began. The T Fal Electric Pressure Cooker looks great- sleek, modern, ready to use, but, the instructions leave the user looking for answers. The instructions, in my opinion, should be much more detailed & involved. Any warm, fuzzy feelings were quickly gone upon realizing that I would be on my own without the detailed & involved instruction/manual I had expected.
I bought this electric pressure cooker because it looks like most other electric pressure cookers, there appeared to be a lot of nice features and the price was good. The instructions are ridiculously poor and the interface is not intuitive at all. The reviews said the instructions were poor, but I thought I'd be able to find something online. I've scoured the Internet to see if some brave, bright soul has figured this thing out with no luck. My niece has a hot pot that she loves and I thought she might be able to use it, but she's as lost as I am.
I've had my T-fal for over a year and am still trying to figure out how to use it. If I could turn back time, I'd stay away from the T-fal (which did offer more functions for a lower price) and buy something else. The instructions basically tell you how to plug it in. Internet hasn't been any help. Good luck if you purchase this T-fal pressure cooker.
It came damaged! I am extremely disappointed. I had no way to take it to another Sears. And when I did call the stores no one had it. And when I asked if another store in a town right out side my city in Dallas. Could take it to a Sears closer to me. They said they couldn't. My car is getting repaired after an accident. So I didn't have away around. I
I think I like this cooker but given I am experimenting with everything it is difficult to know. The instructions are vague and where detailed only in a couple places creates more confusion! Perhaps your brand is more accustomed to regular non electric equipment where the only instruction needed is "there is a lid."
Very very frustrating!
Please add more detailed instructions online for preparing the pot for each setting. For example ....steaming.Thank you.
