I bought these shoes for my father. He loves them and always insists on going to Kmart for his shoes and pants.
Order these shoes. They needed to be nice but rugged, able to handle outdoors. My size is 10.5 has been for the last 40 years. These weren't even close. The tag shows 10.5 wide (exactly as ordered) I couldn't even put them on. I could slip the front of my foot in but that was it. Size was probably more like 8.5. Also, you cannot exchange this item, return only and of course they charge you for that.
From the time I was a child, I always had difficulty find shoes that fit due to a wide foot (3E). All my school years I only wore wing tips because they were the only shoes that fit. For 15-20 years I've been buying Thom McAn shoes at Kmart. I've purchased this particular style at least 10 times and they are a winner. All wide width shoes are not equal. Some are E, while others are 3 or 4E. If you have a wide foot and have struggled finding a perfect fit, these are super wide, at least a 3E. I recently bought a pair of wide shoes from one of those mall shoe stores and had to return them as I couldn't even get my foot into the shoe. The Harold loafer fit like a glove the first time. I've had some last a year with everyday use and that includes rain & snow. I would suggest waterproofing them to get extra use out of them even though I've never waterproofed mine
