New shape is more aero & quiet, still limited crossbar spread

I purchased my Sonic XL from HumblePower for about $520, it was shipped free With this design refresh, Thule made some worthwhile improvements, but nothing groundbreaking over the outgoing models. I moved to the Sonic XL box after years with their mid-range Atlantis 1200 (now renamed the Thule Force, with a new crosshatched, mock carbon fiber exterior finish). Material is still the same tough, lightweight, yet thin polycarbonate shell. In fact, the black Sonic appears to be the same material and glossy finish as my old silver Atlantis box, which held up perfectly after numerous ski and camping trips and years of outdoor storage. This should be the last cargo box I will purchase..happy so far
