These boots have far exceeded my expectations in a work boot.Having been in the automotive industry as an automotive technician I have tried all types of boots and shoes each promising superior performance in wet and slippery environments while delivering comfort and good looks.Sadly most work boots and work shoes either had one good quality or another but not all at the same time as the manufacture promised.I had even tried rescue worker boots which did deliver and performed great but came with a hefty price tag.I honestly didnt think that these timberlands would deliver what the shoe box rating had claimed,as my old boots where worn out I decided to give these boots and my feet a new chance.I havent been this happy with a  pair of boots in years and for the price it is a great deal.These boots are very comparable to a pair of high end military boots or rescue boot in my opinion but for half the price.The traction in water;engine oil;transmision fluid and coolant has been superb,the steel toe is roomy and doesnt beat up your toes as do other steel toes.And the the boot is water proof I highly reccomend this boot if you work in the automotive industry or if you are hard on you r boots and need a solid performer.

Purchased 3 months ago and already leaking water and sole separating. I've have Red Wings that are 2 years old and in better shape. Will not purchase Timberland again.
