Stay Away from this Dutch Oven!!

The Coleman dutch oven is the perfect example of what you do not want in a camping, (or any), dutch oven.  The cast iron used is of terrible porous quality, and the foundry work is also terrible.

The lid does not fit tightly with the pot, even if you turn the lid to try to find one "sweet" sealing spot, you won't find it because of the warped casting of the lid and the pot.

Invest a quality dutch oven that will indeed last for years, this one is just descent as ballast for the ship that hauled it across the ocean to get it to your store.

old fashion cooking

Nothing like a cast iron vessel to cook in, roasts come out perfect every time, with all the flavors seared in. Get back to basics, cook like our ancestors did, you will not regret it.

Not the Best

|

This pot is not the best to take camping and use in a campfire. Better to stick with the old cast irons.
