Worth every penny!

This is a great set of weights. It's so nice to be able to adjust the weight without having to deal with separate plates and collars. Just slide the adjusters and it's done. Was a little nervous about the reviews that say they are hard to line up when setting in the trays, and worries about the plates falling off on your head or toes. Believe me, these are not an issue. Yes, you have to wiggle the bar around a little to get it seated in the tray. Yes, the plates do move a little on the bar and make a little noise like someone is lifting weights. Well you know what? You are lifting weights. Lifting weights is not easy, and it's not always quiet. The little bit of time and patience it takes to line up the plates is nothing compared to changing weights on a standard bar. The plates are secure on the bar, and I don't see how they could fall off. I would recommend this set to anyone who wants an easily adjustable set of weights.

The Plastic Cracked! barely used

I have used these weights about 30 times.  They were always kept indoors and used over carpet... I have never dropped them or abused in any way.... well the plastic parts (same spot on each dumbell) has cracked making it dangerous to use.  See my pictures... I'm going to try to get a replacment, refund or repair... though I'm sure they cannot be repaired.  Also note a "pin" is falling out on one of the dumbells.  I have not received the warranty info from Sears, even though I requested it.  I am not optimistic about getting any kind of customer service, another reviewer said Sears directs you to Weider, who directs you to Icon.  In the process of writing letters now.  I PAID $300+ FOR THESE AND THEY BROKE AFTER 30 USES?

Adjustable Weights

|

I bought the Wieder adjustable weights so I could work out at home and save space. They are very professional looking and look great in my TV area. They are easy to use and the stand was very simple to assemble.

Decent

|

We ordered these because they were a lot less expensive than ordering an entire weight set, but they do feel kinda cheap. They will work and perform as needed.

I love these dumbbells. But they can be a little tricky.
