The build quality is excellent; this low-price barbell easily competes with other top-dollar brands. The collars are excellent as well, they lock plates in place and are easily removable. This bar is projected to be 40-45lbs. and mine weighed in at about 45. Be aware of possible weight discrepancy.
The packaging was horrible, missing the spring collars. Customer service *****, over an hour on the phone and nothing resolved. They wanted me to take to sears over 15 miles away and believe me i repeated myself through out the call and understanding the people they farm out this work to is very hard. I went to sears and they dont have colars or a bar so further waste of money time and gas. They had kids as managers and they seem to think it was funny. I have spe t thousands at sears and kmart throughout my time but this place is fir the birds now. The bar is junk,
Was not 7 ft and neither was it Olympic.
Yes you read it right great bar for the price what I mean by that is: i paid for a cheap bar for me to runn it ragged it will be my land mine bar curl car I will drop it on the floor when I’m done with it. Land mine means I’m going to bolt the land mine contraption on to it so it will get damaged it’ll stay bolted on to it which would be a waste if I did that to my 1500 lb rated bar furthermore I don’t plan on rowing more that 300 lbs which is what this bar is rated for. As for my premium bar it’ll be used for heavy deadlifts and squats. In summary the point I’m trying to drive home is this is a good starter bar or a bar for staying in shape if you’r not planning on lifting over 300 lbs don’t expect it to hold 4 or 500 lbs enough said hope this helps!
I bought this bar, but arrived in a broken package and imcomplete. Had to returned and charged $7.00 return shipping.
