First of all I am 6ft 2inches and this bench fits me perfect. It is comfortable and sturdy enough to handle all 260lbs of me. I did not find any benched with all 3 levels of incline (flat, incline and decline). So even at 100 bucks I found it a great buy. It comes with a FULL 90 day warranty. Overall I am very happy with this product. I wish I could have gotten it on sale.
I purchased this on a Sunday and by the following Friday, two of the four screws that hold the bench pad to the bench frame had sheared off cleanly at the head. If I had been using heavier weights, I probably would have lost my balance and fallen off.
I called Weider today after they did not return my email within a couple of days and I'm not sure they could have been more unpleasant. WIthout even hearing me out, they told me it was a Sears issue and to call the Sears customer service number on the back of the manual. I was polite/non-confrontational and they wouldn't even let me explain the issue, just kept interupting me mid-sentence to tell me to call Sears.
I called Sears and they'll take it back, credit me and I'll buy someting better (made by someone else). You get what you pay for...and I certainly did.
Was hesitant to buy because there is only one picture which doesn’t show seat of bench parallel to floor. Sure enough, seat of bench is in a fixed position which is leaning back... so if you want to use bench in level/flat position you have to move towards the top of the bench to lie flat with feet on the ground.. My husband is 6-2 and it felt awkward and a bit wobbly when he was all the way to top of bench.... great price though
