Quality is good.

I rate this as good, not excellent. I bought the best bench available in the Weider line. The Pro Bench. The frame is heavy gauge steel, and seems perfect for heavy loads. There are a couple of negatives that keeps this from being perfect. The bench does wobble a bit from side to side, not a rock solid feel. The padding on the bench is thicker than a cheap bench, but not much thicker. I bought this because I wanted a separate adjustable bench for a separate power rack/cage. Instead of buying a weight bench with attached barbell stands, I wanted a separate bench and power rack/cage for safer home workouts. I think the reason the regular Weider Pro Olympic Barbell standard bench feels more solid is because the attached barbell stands with wide footprint really helps to stabilize that bench. However, this bench alone that doesn't have the built in stands is a bit unstable feeling. Overall I'm happy. Later on I'll probably spend more money on a more professional model, and just move this bench over to the side and use it for dedicated dumbbell work. Also, like the other reviewer said, the plastic caps on the feet keep popping out. I think I'll use his suggestion and maybe run a bead of hot melt gun from a glue gun around the caps and push them in. That should hold them, and also I'd be able to remove the caps later if I needed to.

poor construction

The frame is not properly aligned, so wobbled when put together. I had to buy washers and put them between the frame and bases on opposite angles front & back. The end caps fall out easily, so will need to glue them in. In the end functional, but wouldn't go through the trouble again.

It's okay.

For the price, it's a fair deal. Things I'm not excited about:
1) the cushion/foam on this bench is a little thin and not dense enough.
2) When you have the back rest in a reclined position, it's not tall enough for you to rest your head on. Pretty annoying for incline dumbbell presses and so on.
