Great Purifier - Had great consumer reviews too!

Bought this purifier for our bedroom & it's the perfect size and works great. We definately notice a better air quality. In searching for a purifier I needed to make sure it was NON-ozone producing - since those that produce/emit ozone are extremely harmful & are now finally being banned (slowly but surely). This unit does not produce ozone and is great!. It is very quiet on low, not too bad on medium, but it is noisier on high setting. But so far the way I set it up, it only goes on high for a short time, cleans out the air, then goes back down to med, then low. Unit does produce a breeze, but no big deal, I just don't aim it directly at me. An added bonus is the VOC option! My next purchase will be the Whirlpool for a larger area (500sf).

Too whirring sounding for us and not strong enough to work

This seems made nicely but it just doesnt move or pull in enough air to work in the sq ft it says it will work in. It would need to be a small room and you have to not mind the whirring sound, its quiet but whirs, it annoys us. And has bright lights on top for night. Too much money (tho' sears price was great on sale) for a purifier of such small strength but we really need to pull and clean air as I have asthma and allergies badly. We are used to the old envirocares that pull 360 degrees and work like a dream. They are now run by a new company and get awful reviews or we'd of gotten another. The envirocares white noise great too. This unit is too small to white noise much of anything. We are returning it.

Quite like a plane!

I bought this because it was supposed to be whisper quiet and I was hoping it'd be quieter than the one I had. It was quiet on the low setting, but on the high it had a noise that sounded like a plane preparing for takeoff. It probably cleaned the air well if you don't mind the operational noise. It moved more air than my other one but I couldn't imagine sleeping, watching TV, talking, etc. with it on high. On low and medium it ran much more quietly but then not as much air gets filtered...back it went. In addition, the back didn't fit well, and I was unable to get the reduced price despite nearly an hour spent with CS then over the phone at the store placing a new internet order since that was the first method of purchase. All around a waste of time.

Very Effective Air Purifer

I checked out reviews for this purifer online before I purchased at Sears. Based on what I found, I decided to buy and I am very pleased with it. It is quiet on the the first two speeds. At high speed, it is louder and not what I sleep with but is ok to run during the day while I am at work. I believe it has definitely improved the quality of the air in my bedroom and cut down on the dust.
