Have had the unit several weeks, performing well so far. Wish it had come with one additional shelf for both freezer and refrigerator sides.
Purchased this in June 2015 and immediately had issues. Water dispensed incredibly slow, shelves were difficult to adjust, and shortly after condensation began accumulating on the freezer door. An authorized Whirlpool tech has been out to repair this defective product at least 5 times. Initially I was told all of these issues were "normal." But the freezer door kept accumulating exterior moisture that if I did not wipe it down, sometimes multiple times a day, I would end up with a puddle on my floor. So FINALLY, after multiple calls to Whirlpool, a tech was sent to address this issue. He attempted to fix the seal but that did nothing. It makes no sense to keep wasting my time changing a door when it's clearly been established that the replacement doors are not fixing the problem. The worst part of all of this is even though I have called Whirlpool customer care numerous times (I have records), they told the tech today that they have NO RECORD of me EVER calling! How is that possible when you've sent techs out multiple times and I'm on door number four! Whirlpool also refused to give any form of timeline on how many doors they planned on making me go through before they authorize another solution. Further, Whirlpool keeps blaming the tech and the tech keeps telling me to call Whirlpool. Now Whirlpool has basically told me to screw off and go complain to the vendor I purchased the product from. They are refusing to do any further repairs. So much for a 1 year warranty. EXTREMELY disappointed in the product and company.
We bought this fridge about a year ago, and it’s been amazing other that the lights. I’ve never bought a whirlpool product that I’ve been so disappointed in. Yes, it may be only because of the flickering led’s ( only when they actually turn on. They only work 5% of the time) but after seeing all the reviews having similar problems, and cost to repair being rediculous. Most likely me, and my family will be switching away from whirlpool sadly.
